Changing Colors

Where I grew up, we had tons of maples and oaks and other trees that changed leaf colors in the fall. Where I live now, the dominant trees are live oaks and junipers and they don't change leaf colors. I was so excited that the house we bought had two huge red oak trees. They make beautiful colored leaves in the fall!

This might be my new favorite layout :)

Details: Leaf paper is Fall Leaves from the Night Fall collection by American Crafts. The beautiful rosettes (or delights as the packaging calls them) are by American Crafts in Spice. The Orange pattern strip is also from Night Fall. Yellow paper is Beeswax and orange is Yam, both by Bazzill. Title stickers are by Making Memories. Journaling block is October Afternoon.

Glass Blowing

Since this year was our first year in our new home and the first year with a full size Christmas tree, we needed a bunch of ornaments. Craig and Lacy treated us to a glass blowing ornament class. We had fun, but it was a pretty steep learning curve.

Backyard Party is Summertime Fun from the Red White & Blue collection. The title was cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge. Fireworks were cut, using an SVG file I found, on SCAL.

Button Pillow

I have seen this beautiful button pillows all over Pinterest and decided I would try to make one myself. I bought the buttons from an Etsy seller about 6 months ago and have just been putting off the project. It seemed like it would be so time consuming and tedious. It wasn't though! I finished this in a day. I used SCAL to cut out a "P" on my cricut and then traced it onto my fabric with a water soluble marker. Then I stitched each button on.

Lyric tree

I made a first dance lyric tree for my friend that recently got married. I got the inspiration from Pinterest. I think it turned out amazing! I hope they love it.

I also made them this framed dates piece. It contains several important dates to them. I also was inspired by Pinterest for this.

Sock Bunny

I'm still here, just haven't been scrapbooking. Trying to knock off several things on my crafty to-do list.

I made this sock bunny (Pinterest inspiration) for one of the little girls I babysit. She loves bunnies and she loves pink. She promptly named her Ellie. I hope Ellie and Eve have many fun adventures together.
