Noey's California Shower

I flew out to CA for Noey's second baby shower. We met at a cute little tea house. It was so much fun! The bundt cakes were as tasty as they were cute. yum!
Details: Paper is from DCWV's Green Stack. I covered up the beaver that was in the corner with a yellow circle to match the flowers in the background. I then used a Martha Stewart Elephant to tie it in with the invite.

Sequoia

This is another layout from our trip in April 2009. I had a whole bunch of pictures that didn't really belong on other layouts, so this is that layout. I also had a post card and brochure I wanted to incorporate. So again, this layout was simple.
Details: Paper is Ticket to Ride from Little Yellow Bicycle's Traveler collection. I believe that the ribbon is also from that line.

Big Basin Redwoods Park

I am trying to catch up and some really old layouts. This is from our trip to the Redwood forest in April of 2009! I have decided that simple is the way to go to get them done.
Details: The wood grain paper is Nature Walk by Cosmo Cricket. The cardstock in by Bazzill Basics and is Sienna. The title was cut out using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge.

Fair Loot

I bought this lovely necklace at the Renegade Craft Fair this weekend. I love seahorses :) We saw this booth not two aisles in at the craft fair. I really wanted the necklace, but decided I would look around at all the other booths to make sure there was nothing else that I wanted more. Two aisles later I was worried the necklace wouldn't be there when we got back (that sort of thing happens to me all the time). We stuck it out though and nothing at any of the other booths cried out to me like I needed them like the necklace. So we hoofed it back to that booth and hooray, someone else was looking at it but didn't buy it. It was mine!

The artist has lots of cool pieces. Check her out http://fernworks.org/.

Card for Noey

I made this card for Noey for her baby shower in California. I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out. I think my handwriting turned out pretty well, even my own husband didn't think I had written it :)

Details: Green papers are "green blocks" and "yellow daises" from the Lucky Me collection by Little Yellow Bicycle. Elephant is by Martha Stewart. "congrats" is a looking glass by Making Memories. Everything else is from my stash and I have no idea who they are by :)

Noey's Shower

noey shower pics
I thought I would share some photos from Noey's shower. We did so many crafty things that I couldn't blog about to keep it all a surprise. So here are some photos of all our decor. :)

Onesie with tie

I decided to make a onesie that matched the baby booties I made for my friend Noey. I found this easy tutorial at the top of my Google search. I didn't have a whole lot of time to design something on my own. This worked out great because it had a template for the tie that was already scaled for the onesie! I used some iron on adhesive and wallah a cute onesie to match the booties!

A Sweet Tradition

Making sweet treats every Christmas with my sister is something I look forward to all season. We added my husband to our treat making after we got married. This year we added another set of helping hands.
Details: Dot paper is Winter Dots by Heidi Grace. Snowflake paper is Winter Mini Flakes, also by Heidi Grace. Cookie embellishments are by Jolee's. The title was cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge. The journaling stamp is by Ali Edwards from Technique Tuesday.

White Christmas

With my grandparents getting older, our extended family Christmases are numbered. I wanted to scrap this photo of Grandpa, all the cousins & their spouses and children. We may not have very many left all together. Plus the family grew by two this Christmas with my sister marrying and my cousin having his first baby.
Details: Paper is Tis the Season by Bo Bunny. Red letters are form the Making Memories FaLaLa line. The smaller glitter letters are from Making Memories. The family sticker is an old embellishment and I have no idea who it is by.

merry & bright

One day my cat may just kill me in my sleep for the laughs I have had at her expense. She does make quite the adorable little elf though. hee hee.
Details: Papers are from the Target one spot Christmas 2008. The title block was part of a paper kit I got a long time ago from Hobby Lobby.

Putt-Putt

While we were in MA last year visiting my sister-in-law. We stopped at a really shady place to play a round of putt-putt. I mean look at the sign. And the owner had one arm and an eye patch (for real!)
Details: Background paper is "blue grid worn" by Scenic Route. The cloud paper is "Head in the Clouds" from My Mind's Eye's Love Me Do collection. The dot paper is Jibber Jabber Talk Soup by JilliBean Soup. The journaling block is by My Mind's Eye. The title was cut using Lyrical Letters on the Cricut.

Shower Sneak Peek

Here is a peek at Noey's shower. I am just bursting at the seams since I can't post any of the stuff we are working on. We are trying to make as much as we can a surprise for her on the big day :) After Easter weekend though I will have tons to share!

Details: The paper is Round & Round Plaid Boulevard from My Mind's Eye's Abbey Road collection. The stamps are both by Hero Arts. The shapes were cut out using SCAL. And the favors are hand sanitizer from Bath & Body Works. We got them in the three colors of her shower. :)

Baby Booties

I have three friends expecting baby boys in the coming months. My sister shared this booty tutorial with me and I got the hair brained idea to make a pair for each baby boy. :P

The pair I made for Noey. When my husband and I saw this soft flannel, we just knew it was for Noey's baby boy.

This pair is for Sylvia's baby boy J. The nursery for little J is done in hues of orange and red. I thought this fabric was perfect for him.

The last pair is for Jessica's baby boy, Hudson. His nursery will be in shades of sage, cream and brown once his daddy gets his room ready.
I hope they all loved their booties! The booties weren't too hard to make. The only hard part was pinning them since they are so tiny.

Noey's Baby Shower Invites!

My good friend Noey is having a baby boy in June. A few of us decided to throw her a fabulous shower when she is back in Austin visiting. Since Noey makes so many fabulous paper things, we had to make some adorable and fabulous invites for her shower!

The font I used is Angelina from this website.

Here is the whole look. I love when things coordinate :)

A close-up of the invites. I cut the nest by designing my own cut file for SCAL and then cutting them on brown Bazzill. Then Sylvia and I flocked "twigs" on them. We also cut out the eggs using SCAL. The color is Candle by Bazzill. To get the eggs to look shiny we used Glossy Accents.

The envelopes are size A7 and are in pool blue. The adorable labels are chartreuse.

The foot stamp is a stamp I am so glad I bought a few years back. It has gotten much use and it always makes me smile.
Sorry that some of the invite details are blurred out, but I have to respect the privacy of others :)

Card for Sylvia

I made this card to give to Sylvia for her baby shower. I cut the owl out using the Storybook Cricut cartridge. I flocked the owl body and feet. Then added googlie eyes and some stickles for the nose. :)

Camping

Recently the hubby and I went camping in the beautiful Bastrop State Park. It got a little bit chilly that night, but the fire kept us warm. I love sitting around a fire and roasting marshmallows! We had a great time and went hiking a little the morning after.
Details: All the papers are from DCWV's Green Stack. The blue tent is an embellishment by Jollee's. The rest of the embellishments are by Martha Stewart. The letter stickers are by Jenni Bowlin.

No place like home

When I was visiting my parents last June, I walked around their yard with my sister to take pictures of things that remind me of my childhood.
Details: The blue patterned paper is Hyacinth from American Crafts' I Do line. The pink patterned paper is Gerber Daisies from American Crafts' I Do line. The green ribbon is from SEI's Glitzmas line. "Home" was cut out using the Jumbo feature on the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge. "No place like" was made from making memories' mini shimmer alphas.

Valentine's Day Cards

I received some heart paper as part of January's scrapmania at Archiver's. I thought it would make great Valentine's cards.

The inside. Found another use for my cupcake tree stamp :P

Front and back together.
Details: Cupcake Tree stamp is by Hero Arts. The cupcakes and red swirls are from the heartbeat sweet love paper by KI memories. The heart paper is from the heartbeat infatuation paper by KI memories. Both papers were made exclusively for Archiver's
