Texas State Aquarium

During Labor day weekend of 2008 we went down to Corpus Christi. One of the places we visited was the Texas State Aquarium. As far as aquariums go, it wasn't very fancy or very big. The cool thing about it though is that all of the marine life that they have lives in the Gulf of Mexico. Also, their larger animals, like turtles and dolphins, are all rescues that can no longer survive in the wild. Pretty cool.
Details: The patterned purple paper is from Heidi Grace's Beyond the Sea line. The seahorse stamps are from the same line. The title was cut out using the Opposites Attract Cricut cartridge.

Memphis

On our return trip home from Illinois we stopped in Memphis for a night and day. We hung out on Beale St. and walked around the downtown area in the morning. There are so many cool sculptures and architectural features. We also went and visited the infamous Peabody hotel ducks. They are quite spoiled for ducks.
Details: The background paper in from SEI's poppy line. The yellow paper is Bazzill Hong Kong. The embellishments are from the poppy line by SEI. The title was cut out using the Storybook Cricut cartridge.

Valentine from Chris

This year we decided to make each other our Valentine's Day cards. Chris made mine using the Sure Cuts a Lot program and my Cricut machine. Eye Heart Ewe (I love you) has been a long running funny with us. Somehow he managed to find an eye and a sheep to cut out. That takes time and dedication!

Details: Striped paper is from SEI's poppy line. All embellishments are from SEI's poppy line. The word love is from Making Memories glitter letters.

Fa La La

The 2007 Symphony Christmas Sing-a-long was the start of a new family tradition for us. My husband loves to sing Christmas carols. It doesn't matter what time of year, he loves it. It is such a fun festive thing to do that we will try to do this every year.

Details: Fa La La was cut out using the Cuttin' Up Cricut cartridge.

Pilobolus

We saw Pilobolus in college for free. After we left that amazing show, we vowed to see them again when we got out of school (i.e. not free). We had the opportunity to go and see them at the Paramount Theater half way between Chris' birthday and Valentine's Day. It was another spectacular performance. If you ever have the chance to see them, GO! :)
Details: Pilobolus was cut out using the Cuttin' Up Cricut cartridge. The Paramount was cut out using the Storybook Cricut cartridge. The background paper is from Heidi Grace's Valentine's Day collection.
