Baby Shower

I mentioned in a previous post that I co-hosted a baby shower for a friend. We crafted lots of stuff for her shower. The card (above) was inspired by an old magazine I had. The color scheme for the shower was gold glitter, light pinks, and light purples. We had a general Parisian theme to go with Baby Girl's Bedding. Below are some of the shower details.

Introducing Howie

As we did with our previous niece and nephew, we made announcements for the newest addition to the family. We did his a little differently from the last two and I love the way they turned out. I think the handmade argyle paper really got us on the right foot making these.

The envelopes and the outside of the card.
 All of the components.
The inside. I think they are so cute!

Noey's Austin Shower

This is from Noey's first baby shower that I attended (and hosted). Ashley and I had a blast making the diaper cake. I think we did a great job for it being our first hosted baby shower. We also made tons of adorable paper products for Noey to enjoy :)
Details: Paper is form the adorable new Pitter Patter line by Making Memories. The embellishments were a gift from Noey.

Noey's California Shower

I flew out to CA for Noey's second baby shower. We met at a cute little tea house. It was so much fun! The bundt cakes were as tasty as they were cute. yum!
Details: Paper is from DCWV's Green Stack. I covered up the beaver that was in the corner with a yellow circle to match the flowers in the background. I then used a Martha Stewart Elephant to tie it in with the invite.

Card for Noey

I made this card for Noey for her baby shower in California. I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out. I think my handwriting turned out pretty well, even my own husband didn't think I had written it :)

Details: Green papers are "green blocks" and "yellow daises" from the Lucky Me collection by Little Yellow Bicycle. Elephant is by Martha Stewart. "congrats" is a looking glass by Making Memories. Everything else is from my stash and I have no idea who they are by :)

Noey's Shower

noey shower pics
I thought I would share some photos from Noey's shower. We did so many crafty things that I couldn't blog about to keep it all a surprise. So here are some photos of all our decor. :)

Onesie with tie

I decided to make a onesie that matched the baby booties I made for my friend Noey. I found this easy tutorial at the top of my Google search. I didn't have a whole lot of time to design something on my own. This worked out great because it had a template for the tie that was already scaled for the onesie! I used some iron on adhesive and wallah a cute onesie to match the booties!

Shower Sneak Peek

Here is a peek at Noey's shower. I am just bursting at the seams since I can't post any of the stuff we are working on. We are trying to make as much as we can a surprise for her on the big day :) After Easter weekend though I will have tons to share!

Details: The paper is Round & Round Plaid Boulevard from My Mind's Eye's Abbey Road collection. The stamps are both by Hero Arts. The shapes were cut out using SCAL. And the favors are hand sanitizer from Bath & Body Works. We got them in the three colors of her shower. :)

Baby Booties

I have three friends expecting baby boys in the coming months. My sister shared this booty tutorial with me and I got the hair brained idea to make a pair for each baby boy. :P

The pair I made for Noey. When my husband and I saw this soft flannel, we just knew it was for Noey's baby boy.

This pair is for Sylvia's baby boy J. The nursery for little J is done in hues of orange and red. I thought this fabric was perfect for him.

The last pair is for Jessica's baby boy, Hudson. His nursery will be in shades of sage, cream and brown once his daddy gets his room ready.
I hope they all loved their booties! The booties weren't too hard to make. The only hard part was pinning them since they are so tiny.

Noey's Baby Shower Invites!

My good friend Noey is having a baby boy in June. A few of us decided to throw her a fabulous shower when she is back in Austin visiting. Since Noey makes so many fabulous paper things, we had to make some adorable and fabulous invites for her shower!

The font I used is Angelina from this website.

Here is the whole look. I love when things coordinate :)

A close-up of the invites. I cut the nest by designing my own cut file for SCAL and then cutting them on brown Bazzill. Then Sylvia and I flocked "twigs" on them. We also cut out the eggs using SCAL. The color is Candle by Bazzill. To get the eggs to look shiny we used Glossy Accents.

The envelopes are size A7 and are in pool blue. The adorable labels are chartreuse.

The foot stamp is a stamp I am so glad I bought a few years back. It has gotten much use and it always makes me smile.
Sorry that some of the invite details are blurred out, but I have to respect the privacy of others :)

Card for Sylvia

I made this card to give to Sylvia for her baby shower. I cut the owl out using the Storybook Cricut cartridge. I flocked the owl body and feet. Then added googlie eyes and some stickles for the nose. :)
